The 2019 Oxford Ophthalmological Congress (OOC) will take place  8th - 10th July 2019 with the commercial exhibition, which is organised by OPTIC UK on 8th and 9th July 2019  in the Randolph Hotel, Oxford.  There will be compliamentary lunch and refreshments for all delegates courtesy of the exhibiting companies. The Oxford Scientific venue is The New Theatre for the scientific programme and poster display.

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists celebrated its 30th Anniversary in 2018.  The College‚Äôs patron HRH The Duke of York visited the Congress and the Exhibition on 22nd May 2018.

RCOphth Congress 2018 - Desmond Wright Shield 2018
To commemorate the work of Desmond Wright who was Exhibition Director of Optic UK from 1984 - 1993 a prize shield is awarded to the best commercial exhibition at Congress.  

Stands are judged in terms of equipment shown, supporting literature, and the presentation of items displayed by the staff.  

We are pleased to announce that The Royal College President Mike Burden and Chair of the Scientific Committee Professor Andrew Lotery awarded the 2018 shield to Alcon Eye Care UK Ltd.

In 2019, the RCOphth Annual Congress will take place in Glasgow for the first time in 20 years. The Congress will be hosted at SEC, Glasgow.  Futher information can be found here
